  • TC matches - Dr Pepper is the first TC champ of the season. She upset defending three time ladies open (and ladies B in 2012) champ chill in the Ladies B final.
  • In the other TC match - TC Mixed B - Pukey J / Taz have advanced to the inaugural championship with their 17th hole 2 and 1 victory over IronMaiden / GolfGeek.
  • Crenshaw became the 41st Slammer to play his 200th event.
  • Two hundred events for Crenshaw, but one day he was a rookie. WELCOME you rookies that played in your first multi-format Slammer event. Shananagan, Pioneer, Tahee, OneEye and Stumpy (first ever event), here's hoping that we see you out more often.
  • EAGLE ALERT Look to the right and see that Dracula had one on hole 17, and that he had a skin, BUT he didn't have the skin for his eagle. He cut off The Game, who missed his albatross by about 4 inches. Did you know that this is not the first Slammer eagle cut-off? This isn't even the first time that eagles were cut off on this hole. Ticklar and TeeDub did it on July 4, 2010. Gatineau - this is our 60th event here, and have had EAGLES on par 3s, 4s, & par fives. We have eagled holes 4,7,9,10, & 17. Do you know who had the first eagle on Tour at Gatineau? It happened June 22, just 12 days before that first cut off by Ticklar / TeeDub
  • Close shot! Bubba misses an Ace by inches. His doggy ball was less than a foot from the hole. Unfortunately it was on the hole (8) that Taz was only four inches away.
  • Speaking of doggies. The QuickSnap doggies were measured by Blue, Kaki, and Swanny. Great teamwork and thank you.
  • The Broker4Tickets skins were entered live by IronMaiden with assistance from Steamer and Lucky.
  • After hitting three balls out of the water on hole three, Stumpy's inaugural event has pictures on our facebook site.
  • Tomorrow we wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to a few Slammer triplets. Chubs, Ticklar and Malone share birthday candles on September 19 - BUT is it the same year?

Summary
Today the Tour, piggybacked on to the Fall Opener and the third & final round of Club EG's Club Championship. We arrive at the course and what do we see? We see that the flags are flying, the reserved parking signs are up. Volunteer co-ordinator Erin Rajhathy has her team all set to go. They are handling the registration, and handing out the QuickSnaps, so that now we can wear the shoes, we want. The people are all in place for the various contests. The staff at Gatineau were out en masse, helping everybody at bag drop - and loading the carts. I have never seen so much LOUDMOUTH and we even brought our own, without the megaphone.

YES! She was declared the ClubEG ladies' champion. Dr Pepper is the first TC champ of the season. She upset defending three time ladies open (and ladies B in 2012) champ chill in the Ladies B final. The win vaulted Dr. Pepper from the 39th step on the Slammer ladder to #4. Oh yeah she also defeated Pozzo on 14 and BearCat on the 15th hole. No bones BUT two trophies and a $25 gift certificate for Slammer Gear. During presentations - it looked like I scared you. If so - I am sorry!
Dracula
3 wins, 3 birds, 1 eagle, 2 dogs, 1 skin, 196 bones AGAIN ... he may be closing in on the record for bones at one venue - look back to his first Fall (Oct 6, 2012) Opener event. That is 308 bones career in his total Slammer events at Gatineau (WHY have you only played here twice?). Now we can help this well dressed Slammer to wear more Slammer gear when he trades in his Gear certificate.
T-bird
the final Slammer gear $25 certificate goes to the table that won the Absolute Comedy tickets for their trivia knowledge. It was a close race - wink wink wink! The Teach won one of the four skins. T-Bird upset Number 7 to move from 37th rank to 19, defended against IronBrian, and with his 3 and 2 upset of Intruder, became the new #6.
