Notables

  • QUICK SNAP doggie report. Thank you to Big Guy for stepping in and handling the doggie ball collecting, then he handed off to Stevie Ray who did the report. I seldom report who got what and on what hole and for how many feet, BUT today I would like to say something about a couple of them. Iron Maiden had the first one today on the fourth hole. It was her 53rd of the year. That is a new single season record. Juice had 52 in 2014, breaking Iron Maiden’s record of 50 – the year before. There is still much more season to play!
  • Staying with the QUICK SNAP doggies. Boomer is playing in his 12th season. Four times in his first six seasons – he finished the season in the top six of the doggie race. In fact he got his 112th of his career today on hole 13. THAT was his first dog of the season (30th event). Welcome back to today’s winner of the longest drive. I know that we don’t have a contest BUT he did drive in from Brighton.
  • November Run for #1 – I should have checked but I think that this is the fourth season that we have competed for this annual race. I believe that it is always getting better. I understand that most of us are just watching our own rankings BUT I assure you that there is a very dedicated team keeping a close eye to make certain that all runs smoothly. One thing to remember this season, is that on October 31st, everybody is locked into their division. So as you look at a division – I remind you that IronMaiden is locked in the A and Bubba is locked in the C. Also note that anybody in the top ten of their division who does not play in a week will drop three rankings in their division. Any questions? I would love to chat with you about it.
  • Mulder – what a BEAUT! (can I use it Big Thunder?). Today he once again volunteered for the live scoring on the app and he also did the BROKER 4 TICKETS skins report.
  • MILESTONES today - you already know about those two doggie milestones mentioned above. Others today? Big Guy played his 234th event today and became only the second Slammer to donate 3K bones. Don’t panic folks that is only 12.88 per event and many people have done things that cost more than that… Thank you BigGuy! Speaking about lost bones Stevie Ray lost his 300th in 2016. DeeJay won his 800th bone of his career, and also caged his 200th birdie.

Summary
Hey Thom, thank you for our three star prizes. Folks come out and join us here next Friday, this is a course that is in great shape. I know that no OC ever says that their event is at a bad course - so go ahead and ask the others that have played here, come on out and give us a try.

Stars
Green Arrow (r)
His record was 0-5-4 and becomes 3-5-4, making this new C1, the #12 overall. Congrats rookie, you can't hang up the shoes now. This is NOT the Arrow's first time here at Prescott and here is hoping that it is not his last. Come back and try that new glove here.
Mulder
NOT REALLY because he bought the beers (which was the reason given at the event), however he did buy them for his foursome and only used fifteen of their bones to do so. Another perfect 3-0 has this Slammer that had a better than .500 record each of his opponent's before the event and continues to now. His upset of Boomer vaulted him all the way from the 100th rung on the ladder up to 32. Congrats - where that Prescott hat well!
Pepilepu
I smell skunk and he sure didn't stink today - playing Prescott for the first time "where is the flag?" Never played the course! Never played opponent one! Never played opponent two! Only played DeeJay once even though they are both at least 8 year veterans. Never worried, he asked the range questions, then proceeded to beat up some old balls and off he went. Now he is 2-0 vs DeeJay. Good choice picking that colour hat - it looks good on a skunk!
