Summary
Twenty eight Slammers headed up the Valley today and as we gathered on the first tee it was unclear as to "weather" we were there to take on the course...or Mother Nature ! A brutal ice cold wind accompanied us up the first fairway and it didn't matter how many layers you had packed on because you could feel it to the bone. The clear sky and bright sun didn't stand a chance against the wind today as these conditions followed us throughout the day. Jonathan in the pro shop questioned whether all 7 groups would be in attendance and this OC replied: “Of Course, we are Slammers”. The trend of rookies dominating the stars continues and it may be early in the season but many new rivalries have already been etched…paving the way for anticipated future match ups and hopes for revenge. This rookie revved ‘er up and decidedly took down all his opponents with upset wins over NoCents, Akeem and The Therapist as he propelled himself a whopping 489 spots …that’s right, 489 spots up the Slammer ranks and into the top 20. With 2 birds and 1 skin, Harley is setting himself up for a good ride this 2012 season. Congrats! |

Another rookie has an excellent day on the course and BigTee can be called Mr. as he records the upset wins against Grumpy, The Enigma and Bubba. With 1 bird good for a skin, BigTee is certainly looking forward to his next outing in Slammerland. Nice! |

Can everyone see the pattern here….This rookie has the perfect handle for a day like today as Chill goes 3-0 for 6 points as she takes down Iron Maiden and pinches her rank from under her for the second time in as many events. Chill defends against T-Bone and betters Stevie Ray for the upset. Well done! |
