HOLE IN ONE POT: The pot grows with new entries today - SmallFry, Hollywood Hogg, GoofBall, Taxman, Shark, Smitty, Steamer, IronBrian, GongShow and Jocelyne Pigeon - This brings the doggie pot to an 860 bone total!
QUICK SNAP DOGGIES: Four doggies with one each to Steamer (#6, 15ft), Shark (#8, 14ft), StevieRay (#10, 14 inches away from another hole in one!) and Gidget (#12, 7ft) at 56 bones each

Summary
Even though our City had a mild and fairly easy Winter, the ClubEG golfing world and the Slammers are still happy that Spring has finally sprung and a sure sign is that it's time for The Spring Opener event! Always a fun day and we had over 140 golfers in the field with twelve groups of Slammers ... and what a treat to have it hosted by our beautiful partner course Carleton Golf and Yacht Club. The weather was better than seasonal with slightly overcast skies and the temps in the mid teens and it was quite a sight to see the caravan of carts head out to the starting holes shortly after 1pm earlier today. Always exciting to start a new season and even though our Slammer season really never ends it did feel like we were making a new start today. All kinds of fun ahead and even though it is only May I know there are Slammers out there already working hard to play their best season yet on the Tour. Great day everyone, IronMaiden

	Bubba
	Bubba had one of those spectacular days on the course today...one of those days that keeps you coming back and loving this great game just a little more. He defended against Switch and Malone in Law and recorded the upset win against IronBrian to go 3-0 for 6 points ! No birds, just some solid play by this Slammer playing in his 7th seaon on Tour. Congrats!
	Gidget (r)
	Gidget was playing in her third Slammer event in this her rookie season and continues her winning streak with the wins against Flash and Jocelyne P...who has yet to be nicknamed. Gidget sticks a super close dog on the last par three of the day to take one home on this day with a large field. Well done !
	Cracker
	Cracker is now in his second season playing with the Slammer Tour and had another great day defending his rank against SunShine, Jewel and Taxman and with one birdie earns one of the skins, his 5th lifetime skin! So yes this is a big deal! Awesome and keep up the great work Cracker!
