Summary
Today's Slammer event at Casselview signals, no trumpets, the beginnings of an outstanding Ottawa region Slammer season. Coming to Casselview for the start of the season felt like seeing Slammer family that we haven't seen since before winter. Claude and Justine and all of the staff treated the Slammers like family with warm greetings and hugs and beaming smiles. Casselview, the home of the Commish Cup, is the 1st golf course to open to the public in the Ottawa region and the conditions were very good for this time of year. Yes, a few wet spots but the greens were 1st rate, the bright sun with a high of 18 made us forget about that long winter and we were golfing. And after playing 18 holes of Slammer match play golf, the owners were at the 19th showing us great customer service and hospitality. Overall, the event, the owners, the Slammership, the course, the customer service, the hospitality all score a big thumbs up!! Our 1st local Slammer event at the 1st Ottawa area golf course to open, Casselview, in the books. Happy 2017 golf season everyone...let the games begin!!...Your OC, KC.

According to reports our 1st star, playing in his 1st event, is a Scottish golf purist who will fit nicely into the Slammer Tour. Macdahustla, playing against two B players, takes out Stevie Ray on the 15th and Fingz on the 14th. With his undefeated record, he celebrates a trifecta...a bird, a dog and a skin. Great job, Macdahustla and welcome to the Tour!! |
