Breaking News ... there was an incident with a gun on the 174 causing delays for many of our slammers as traffic came to a halt with multiple first responders on the scene. Uncle Chuck was apparently an eye-witness (and almost car-jacked), but came out to play anyway. How's that for excitement. And yes, he's OK.

Summary
This was probably one of the smallest groups ever at Pine View for a Slammer event (at least for any I have played). Why? People, people. Do NOT be afraid of the weather. Sure we had a few more "sprinkles" than forecasted, but the majority of the round was dry. And anyway, we were at Pine View which consistently has some of the best greens in the Ottawa valley. And a wonderful staff. We were allowed to tee off early (then wait beside the fairway as a late-comer public twosome showed up ... see traffic reason in Notables) and the first group got in in 3:45 ... sweet!! Hope to see more of you out there the next time. chill - out!
