Summary
Today was late fall golf with unpredictable weather and undetermined course conditions prior to the event. The course conditions were fantastic and our hats are off to eQuinelle with the quick but true greens (10 on the Stimpmeter), the well manicured and dry fairways and the maintained rough...better than summer conditions. The course was so scorable....but now add into this picture the weather. The wind played havoc with club selection, strategy and performance making the match play outcomes so interesting. We all faced the same course conditions and same weather conditions. But it is how well we adapt to those conditions that in part determine how we perform. Lots of close matches and lots of fun and excitement within our foursomes. And lots of interesting discussion, Slammership and joking around on the 19th hole. Match play golf, Slammership and enjoyment is what's it all about. Thank you my fellow Slammers for a great day on the windy links!!...Your OC, KC!!

Hen is the event's 1st star as he goes 3-0-0 with match play wins against a B and two Cs. He has suffered from a wrist injury that has taken him off of golf for 3 months. But he came storming back today with wins over GovNer4, Cracker and Koala and he makes a big jump from 193 all the way up into the top 30 and becomes the new C3...think Run for Number 1. Congrats!! |

He hasn't played as much as he would like to on the Tour but Shark is gearing up for the Run for Number 1 in November. Shark takes down Gator, Buster T and KidsClub for his new rank. He scores a trifecta with a birdie, skin and doggie on a par 3. His performance gets him to jump all the up into the top 10 and earn the rank of B3. Suppppppper!! |

Our 3rd star earns his position today. He goes 1-1-1 on the match play field. But the Slammer 3rd star did much more than that. Skeeter has a birdie, takes home a skin, wins 2 of the 3 dogs and is the big bones winner for the day. Plus he gets Karma for volunteering for Doggie Master!! Great Performance!! |
