Summary
The motto of the Slammer Tour should change to "be prepared" and prepared we were for the hard steady rains that hit us for 4 holes mid round today. Umbrellas, jackets, bag covers......all sprung into action as we hit the back nine. But nothing stopped the Slammers and we kept the pace until the skies cleared again a few holes later. Some notable scores were posted today with many shooting well below their averages...Congrats again to Pepilepu for breaking 80! Tomorrow is Championship Sunday of the Ottawa Sun Scramble and will see the finals take place at Eagle Creek for the Men's Open, Ladies Open, Senior Open and Juniors....good luck to all and congrats on a job well done by the EG team!

Our first star NoCents has a great day on the course winning all his matches going 3-0 defending against Pepilepu, Bookie & Happy. NoCents is steady shooting 11 strokes below his average with 1 bird but he's not done yet....he also takes home a doggie by sticking it 10 ft from the pin on #8. Excellent! |

ParBreaker also has a great day out there going 3-0 for 6 points. All of ParBreaker's wins were defences over Crenshaw, Canny Jack & Burner. He records 4 birds and two hold up to finish off the front and back nines with skins on #9 & #18. Shooting the low score of the day and breaking par with a 1 under par 71, ParBreaker holds his position in the top 10 of the Slammer ranks. Nice! |
