Summary
Always a great time when we make the trek south west to Brockville and today we had a full house with five groups of eager Slammers ready to take on this challenging course. The weather could not have been better with temps in the upper twenties and a deep blue sky with absolutely no cloud cover to speak of. A couple of Slammettes used today's round as a warm up en route to Smugglers on Sunday....the venue for this year's Intersectional match ups where the EG Ladies will take on the home team as well as teams from Bay of Quinte and Amherstview. In preparation for tomorrow's Chase the Dream event, Malone showed that he is up for the task and makes it look easy peasy as he defends against Polo in their TC Open match today and records the upset wins against Cuba and Pipeline. With three birdies good for two skins, Malone is back in the top 10 and increases his lead in the birdie race sponsored by The Canadian GC. Congratski! |

springlakes had another starworthy day as he defends against his big bro Compressor and moves up over 30 spots in the Slammer ranks with the upset wins against Zenantics and PizzaMan. The latter was also a TC "B" match which gives springlakes a spot in the semi finals and takes him one step closer to the title. One birdie was all it took to get a share of the skins pot. Nice! |
