Summary
Seven Slammers did double duty today playing in the first of several "Summer Solstice" double header events. The official start to summer is in exactly one week but the Slammers have been playing like summer came weeks ago! Falcon Ridge is always a challenge with its "Amen Corner" and 17th hole and 36 holes wasn't enough for many of us to figure it out yet again. And the weather could not have been better with temps in the low 20's and a brisk breeze that kept us cool and refreshed enough to walk the course all day. Bring on summer!

Chilly and his Falcon Ridge brother always make an interesting dueling duo and today was no exception as once again they played nice and shared the points. Chilly was a "last second" sign up and joined this group literally on the tee box....to the dismay of Woodsy and Chadderbox as he wins both matches and is back in the top 10 of the Slammer ranks. With 2 birdies and 2 skins, it was worth the beggin' to play. Congrats! |

Falcon Ridge's homeboy was on top again as he fights the fight to the end with fellow homeboy Chilly and, as per usual, they just can't settle the match and end up each walking away with 1 point. Ticklar does take an additional 4 points with the defence win against Chadderbox and re-inserts himself into the top 10 with the upset win over Woodsy. A steady day with 1 bird that resulted in 2 skins as he knows the secret of paring #10. Something like the Caramilk secret....I don't think he is going to tell. Well done! |

StevieRay is always a "nemesis" of an adversary and today was no different taking 6 points and defending his rank against Backflash, Gator and Grumpy....and just misses out on the extra point from IronMaiden as she makes the putt on #18. A good day in the stats for SRR adding one bird, one skin and a doggie to his already lofty totals in all categories. Nice! |
