NOTABLE: Big Tee and Irons are two from the crop of rookies this year. Both are very well mannered, hit the ball a long way, have game within their class and are very pleasant on and off the course!

TAN Co DOGGIES: 3 of 4 par threes were hit to give birth to puppies. Taking home puppies worth 10 bones each were the two rookies - Irons with 2 and Big Tee with 1. Congratulations!!

UNOFFICIAL SKINS: unofficial skins were worth 2 cents each payable the Slammies with 3 won by Blue, 2 each going to Lucky and Big Tee, and 1 each going to KidsClub and Grasshopper. Unofficial Congrats!!

Summary
It was a great golf day with wonderful weather and course conditions, an early morning start and a hospitable staff at Hammond. A small group of six Slammers showed up to the course, none hit balls before the event and 1 Slammer tried the putting greens. Without a warmup the Slammers took to the field. The 1st group finished in 3 hrs and 50 minutes and all three scored within 2 strokes of each other. The 2nd group came in 30 minutes later with scores within 1 stroke of each. But scores don't matter in match play. Just look at how close scores can end up with earlier closure of matches or late completion. But that's Slammer match play. All had a great time on the course and at the 19th hole. The pace at the 19th hole is so much slower but we never miss a putt. What a nice way to signal and celebrate the oncoming long weekend. Cheers!!

Mister Lucky, the EG Champions League director and points leader, goes undefeated today taking out BigTee and taking out Blue in his TC B match on the 18th. He advances to the TC B final four. Well done, sir!! |
