Summary
It's always a treat to come to this premiere Westend course and Monday at the Marshes makes it feel like the weekend has just started over again. From the time we are greeted in the bag drop area until the stars are announced on the 19th hole, everything is top notch. Once again, #2 got the best of most of us and certain pin placements made for some tough shots for those Slammers brave enough to go for it. September is really here and even though we will be heading back to warmer temps as the week progresses, today was quite cool and required more than a single layer for most. Lots more events on the schedule this week....time to take advantage of these lovely late summer days.

Our first star Malone was the only Slammer to take 6 points home today as he defends his rank against Swanny and Inch and secures a spot in the semi finals of the TC Open division with the win against Clang. One bird good for the skin rounds out his day...congrats! |

Dazed |
|
Dazed was super clear on what his goals were for the day and he comes out on top with two upset wins over IronMaiden and BigTee and goes all square with Turtle on the 18th. And there is nothing better than getting a Slammer trifecta...One bird, one skin, one dog.... which Dazed accomplishes with just two shots on the #14 par 3. Well done! |

Rexall has a prescription for success and playing today at the Marshes gave Irons and Bookie a hard pill to swallow as he records the upset over Irons, defends against Bookie and holds on for the draw to stay one spot below Stevie Ray in the Slammer ranks.....moving up 60+ spots and a tidy little doggie on #5 today....not too shabby! |
