Summary
The long weekend continues for some as the ever popular Tuesday event at Stonebridge is sold out with 5 full groups of Slammers. The temps topped the mid 30's as we teed it up halfway through the afternoon today but as we started the back nine the winds got stronger and a light but steady rain followed us through the next few holes....cooling the air and turning a hot day into a perfect early evening on the Stonebridge links. With Woodsy now sitting atop the Slammer ranks, the “Greens” now have #1, #2 AND #3 anchoring Team South. It's not too late to qualify for the Commish Cup so put your name in the hat and challenge strategically in this, the last week to improve your rank and represent your region.

Woop Woop Woodsy! Another stellar day for our first star as he racks up three upset wins taking down Chilly, Old Spice and then Malone for the most coveted rank on the Slammer totem pole! Woodsy has again taken over the #1 position in the Slammer ranks and will lead Team South into victory at the Commish Cup! OK, getting ahead of myself here.........For today, Woodsy harnessed 6 points, three birds, two skins and a tidy little doggie on his way to first stardom! Congrats! |

Garbo also took down all in his foursome today moving up 120+ spots as he overtakes The Judge, PokerFace and PizzaMan's ranks ... winning his TC match along the way and advancing to the next round in the TC "C" division. With three birdies that held up for two skins and a tight 5ft doggie stuffed on the tough #2....Garbo deserves the nod for second star today. Awesome! |

TJ also had a stellartastic day out there and yes, any other day it would have warranted first star recognition.....but today the stars were aligned for many and more than some of these guys were good! TJ knocks 'er out of the park today going 3-0 for 6 points with the defence win over Shorts and upsetting Inch and Stevie Ray along the way. With one birdie good for the skin and a double doggie day (both were within 10ft of the pin), TJ hit a home run! Well done! |
