Summary
It was a gorgeous fall day with sunny skies, no rain or showers and a bit of breeziness. Course conditions were great for this time of year with quick greens, well conditioned fairways and at times punishing rough. Nineteen Slammers ventured out to enjoy the day of match play Slammer golf. It was an odd day with the majority of matches (16 of the 27 matches) ending in upsets and close matches with 15 of the 27 ending on the 16th, 17th or 18th hole. But that is match play golf where anything can happen. And there was no three putting on the 19th hole although there was a lot of chirping and the quenching of ones thirst. Enjoyable presentations by T-Bone, Gator and KidsClub and another beer to bring closure to another enjoyable day on the links. And thats a wrap for the 208th Slammer outdoor event. Next events are Brockville and Smugglers. Enjoy the weekend!

Rio (r)
Rio had game on today as he captures 1st star honours. He goes undefeated taking out TJ (on the 12th), Malone (on the 15th), and PointZero (on the 16th). He has a birdie and takes home a dog. He wins his TC Open match vs Malone and plays his way into the Open Finals. Congrats Rio!!
Big Tee (r)
The big guy, BigTee, comes out crushing the ball. He takes down T-Bone (on the 12th), Pepilepu (on the 16th) and Blue (on the 18th) good enough to take home 2nd star honours. On route, he has the trifecta with 2 birdies, 1 skin and 1 doggie. Great round and great match play results!
Fodder (r)
Fodder, playing his 3rd event of his Rookie season, gets the nod for the 3rd star. He takes out Turtle (on the 11th), Stevie (on the 15th) and Juice (on the 16th). He scores 2 birdies and takes home 2 skins. Excellent!!
