Notables

  • PoP. Congrats to the four Pop captains. Occasionally every group lost the group ahead of them. Then they were reeled in. Overall everybody was in between 250-255 minutes. Probably would have been even better but the first group had to wait often.
  • Notable #1…The Wanker sometimes known as a Buggah was dinged for speeding.
  • Notable #2…Apparently the British invasion continued because the queen needed DJD.
  • Notable #3…Wally is a pretty good golfer but also a GREAT CADDY. Thank you!
  • Notable #4…The 2012 TC (Tour Championship} has officially begun. Welcome Poutine!
  • Notable #5…Speaking about rookies, 50% of the field are rookies today.
  • Notable #6…Big Guy (52nd career event) has 4x times as many events as his opponents.
  • Notable #7…Davestor is pronounced Da (the) vesstor! Moves from 539-91.
  • Notable #8…Reverend returns for his first event of the season.
  • Notable #9…Read the summary and wondered -17? Kerri took Ozone out for a walk.
  • Notable #10…PointZero after 2 holes, has six shots TO the greens and seven ON them.
  • Notable #11… Despite hitting one bunker per hole from 10-17, Wally moves into TOP TEN as he becomes #1 Super Senior. Now to defend and win a hat.
  • Notable #12 – See #4 above. The rookie wins the match because the veteran hits a wrong ball on 18 and loses the hole. That veteran? GRUMPY!
  • Still with the TCs – Pommie and BigBear are having a match, next Tuesday at Stonebridge, and HELFM / Judge Etto the following Saturday at eQuinelle.
  • Thank you DJD for picking up the TanCo balls and for collecting the bones prior to the event as our fifth time Doggy Master. The Evolution Physio skins report was delivered by Meekagolf. Despite the many interruptions and the attempts at adjusting his report, by the throngs, he did a GREAT job. I am just sorry that this pair of presenters were not on our youtube channel.
  • Notable #13 – Meeka inducts Biscuit into Bulldog’s TP club
  • Notable #14 – When you want to interrupt the skin master, proclaiming a birdie, PLEASE be sure , because all ears and eyes are watching you. I know it was only your 495th career event. See that? I didn’t embarrass you anymore by mentioning your name.
  • Last notable – the doggy master wins two skins and the skin master wins three dogs – no wonder they did such a great job with their presentations.

Quotables

  • “What a rookie! He left a proV1 for doggie.” “Well don’t give it back, so he can learn for next time.”
  • “Is his name Gator because he drinks Gatorade?” “No! he drinks it to aid the Gator.”
  • “He is classy , but not stupid.” “He was classy until he checked you for 6 inches.”
  • “Get on the green! Get on the green! Is that all?
  • “You putt like your having intercourse.” (editor’s note … please save that for OFFcourse).
  • “Hooray with that $16 doggy, I can now pay for my three lost matches.”
  • “Rexall treats a quarter like a mortgage.”
  • “Wow! One day after the storm and we only see one puddle.”
  • “Shorts was too long.”
  • “I guess if I get another pitcher, it won’t be wasted.”
  • “If my wife knew that I was having this much fun, she would be furious!”
Event: Pine View
Wed May 30, 2012
Summary
Pine View practice green started to fill up as the OC arrived a little later than planned. His driver-du-jour was somewhat tardy. OC was getting Grumpy, thinking those Londoners are always late. Pommie arrives, smiling because the Gendarmes gave him a break, when doling out the speeding ticket. As we all know the busiest person at the pre-event is the doggie master, and I already knew he had urgent business for HRH, and would not be early. All worked swimmingly well and without a hitch , the group of seventeen were off. 250 minutes later, the nineteenth was entered by 100% of us. Sixteen in the event , yet nineteen get mentioned.

Stars
DJD
The Elections Canada employee gets the votes, as he takes care of Her Royal Highness’ business. Takes care to eat lunch, collect all of the bones, get changed and then tee-off. Taking time to make a snowman on the sixth hole, he makes the turn all square with #6 PointZero, whom he has never beaten. Then birdies on 10 & 12 (both good for skins) paving the way for the upset and moves this A/B classer back to A. Successfully defending against Wally & Ozone makes for a perfect 3-0 record. Hey DJD – THIS is why you can’t play in the Promomedia B TC.
Big Tee (r)
Yes tis true! If you were at the event, then you heard an announcement of the 2nd & 3rd stars reversed. Upon further review, your OC has switched them due to the level of competition. As you know this Tour is all about MATCH play. Big Tee officially only has one upset today and that was over Stevie Ray vaulting him from 66th to 28th. He did that with what appeared to be little effort. Building his own snowman on the first hole with the help of a very wide and right drive. He quickly went all square on #2 and finished the match with his bogey putt on 16. He also defended against the B classer Davester and the speedster that recruited him – Pommie. Undefeated and settling in.
MeekaGolf (r)
Meeka also goes 3-0 defending against a couple of D classers Big Guy & Biscuit O’Shumka. His upset of Shorts moves him from 58th to 23rd. Along the way, he only collected three dogs. Look out Doggy Leaders, there is a new kid on the block, but fret not he is away the next five weeks and can only play weekends.
