  • Notable #10 - Rulz and ZenGirl defeat PukeyJ and Taz on the 18th hole. They were down four and came back with ZenGirl chipping in twice. One of those was good enough for a birdie skin worth 68 bones on #16. Interesting fact about this foursome, none of them had a 2 in their won/lost column. Milestone alert! Rulz is the 5th Slammer to play his 400th event. ZenGirl is the 35th to collect her 150th win.
  • Notable #1 – Maybe you didn’t know this, but there have only been seven people at #1 this season. Clang played three of them today, 0-3 so sad. Milestone alert! Malone is #23 to play his 200th career event.
  • Notable #2 – LongIron leads the bones race after day two when he collected 68 bones each for a dog and a skin.
  • Notable #3 – Ozone goes 3-0 today, with upsets over Smitty and OldSpice. These upsets are called that because the lower ranked player defeated a higher ranked player. Ozone hasn’t lost to Smitty and OldSpice in his last six matches with them. Milestone alert! That loss was Smitty’s 200th. He is #27 to reach it.
  • Notable #4 – Ticklar’s 3-0 includes him moving from the 4th step to the 3rd step, when his par on #17 beat Crenshaw’s bogie. PointZero goes 0-3 for an 0-6 weekend (Milestone alert! He will become the 24th Slammer to play in his 200th event Tuesday at Outaouais).
  • Notable #5 – Danger, ChooChoo and Newfie played together again today. ChooChoo goes undefeated to claim that #157.
  • Notable #6 – Commish Cup West team mates Sunny and RipZone in another face to face, with Captain Sunny winning again.
  • Notable #7 – After a draw yesterday, Irons finally beat SpoonHead on their 36th hole.
  • Notable #8 – Turtle also has an 0-6 weekend and the only reason all 6 are not upsets is because Frenchie beat him back-to-back. Lucky goes 3-0.
  • Notable #9 – Top ranked (#14) TJ comes out today, hurts his back, and has to withdraw from Tuesday’s Outaouais event. Now we have a Pizza with Snake and Skunk on it, all moving up the ladder. Milestone alert! TJ becomes the 49th Slammer to suffer his 100th loss
  • Notable #11 – It is not about the strokes (but we are playing stroke play for Club Championship). XTour gains a stroke but loses again to Spud.
  • Notable #12 – Just like yesterday, his match is decided on the 15th hole. Difference today, BearCat, wins over PokerFace, gaining 12 steps.
  • Notable #13 – Slammette Juice beat the Maiden yesterday but IM had revenge today.
  • Notable #14 – Interesting challenges in this group! Tooth Fairy goes 3-0, Deter jumps 160 rungs, when Number 7 blows up on the 18th hole. Number 7 gets the only bird in the group.
  • Notable #15 – Welcome back Pozzo! Fourth straight D score, but you still get to advance 146 notches. Grumpy beat BigGuy yesterday, to bring their career record all square at 15-15-6. Congratulations BigGuy! With your win in the revenge match, not only have you moved ahead, but you are the #1 D today.
  • Notable #16 – Cuba, take your hat off! ShortStack and Swanny – records show that you guys actually had a draw and CJ, that’s pretty close to giving advice.
  • Notable #17 – Stevie Ray goes 3-0 (check the three stars section). Rookie Tit4Tat was winless yesterday. Today he brings along his anger management coach. She sits in the cart, he doesn’t throw a club, upsets T-Bird on the 14th hole, and then upsets Blue on the 18th hole. Now Tit4Tat is ranked #34.
  • Notable #18 – Congratulations Princess! Any time we D classers can play an event with 0 losses is awesome.

Summary
Welcome to Round 2 of the 2012 EG Championships. Here we are at Canada’s oldest golf course (I challenge you all to point out facts about this and let’s discuss them). Weather … who cares? We are all playing in it. Yesterday there were only 17 upsets, today we will have 27. So there will be a lot of movement on the ladder. After Round 1, Slammers are leading in every Division. Again today, it is the OC’s difficulty to choose three stars. Ottawa 67s tickets are going out to the winners again today. Here’s what we have… the seven people that went 3-0 did not win a dog or a skin. The four dogs and the four skins were won by seven people none of whom won more than one match. Oh well!

Stevie Ray
Stevie Ray is the lucky recipient of two pairs of tickets to the Ottawa 67s game. Stevie Ray goes 3-0 today. His record against Blue this weekend is worthy of star status. Today’s win was the first after nine unsuccessful attempts in a row. His stellar scoring has him tied for 3rd going into the final round of the ‘B’ Division Club Championship. Those two scores that count in stroke play are his best two combined games in two months. Congrats SRR, the only veteran to pick up a star this weekend.

ToothFairy goes 3-0 which includes an upset of Number 7, to move up 27 rankings. This rookie is leading the Ladies ‘B’ Class ahead of five time winner Elsie Boudreau and perennial runner up Iron Maiden. With three Slammers in the family, which two get to go to the Ottawa 67s game?
