Notables

Pace of Play was slowed by some non Slammers ahead of Grumpy's lead group, and we were able to keep up to the Grumpster.
Today's Kids money was boosted by some whine fines and pre-meditated cussing tolls.
Best dressed Slammer was Rexall as he wore a basic black shirt, slacks and socks with Slammer orange hat, belt and orange trimmed shoes.
Grumpy wore a Kadaverish belt which sent the dead guy scurrying home in mortal fear after the round.

Summary
Day 1 of the Labour Day 2012 weekend began at one of our favourite Slamming venues where 16 competitors clubbed it out in some stunning match play.

Stars
	Popeye
	He tooted from his 1st hole birdie tap in through 3 more birdies in the round en route to a resounding 3-0 record over Rexall, SlapShot and Hacker. His win over Hacker advances him in the TC-B division of the tour championship as well. he grabbed a couple of skins, all while shooting his career best Slammer round by going 20 strokes below his average. Is spinach a performance enhancing vegetable ? We think it's Slammerlicious !
	Shorts (r)
	Shorts was unbeatable, going 3-0 by besting DeeWayne, Grumpy and highly ranked Kadaver making Shorts #3 overall ! He also had many dog balls, one of which held up, and a skin. Excellent Slammership !
	Intruder (r)
	Intruder was 3-0 with wins over Eeyore, Crenshaw and Stymie. He also had a bird, which held up for a skin. Solid Slamming !
