Summary
It's October 1st and the Slammers sent a message to Mother Nature that we're not even close to being done with this 2013 season yet! Seven full groups, twenty eight strong, made the short jaunt to Stonebridge for some Tuesday Slammin' fun. And under a full sunny sky these Slammers showed 'em that with nothing in our way we could set an exemplary pace that could easily be referenced in those "While we're young" commercials! The leaf rule took effect today as it does each year on this date but on this linksy course there was no need to even bring it up on the first tee. So much more fun to come...Thanksgiving weekend up next, The Dragonfly challenge and then Smugglers weekend....Ya ever been?

	Is there a Wikipedia written about this Slammer yet? He wouldn't be the first (do you know which Slammers have a Wiki page?) but he certainly has earned it! McGoop has held the #1 Slammer rank for many weeks now and has successfully defended...can anyone de-throne him in 2013? Certainly a record for a rookie. Today McGoop had formidable opponents lined up with Malone, Bugsy and Chilly and he successfully defends once again. Three birds and an eagle on #3 gave him good odds...the birds didn't do the trick but the eagle nets him half the skins pot. He also clinches the TC Open title his first time around. Congrats!

	What's that noise? Is it an orange footed-Scrubfowl? The common crane? Apart from the obvious, Birdman's last name being Loiselle, this Slammer has a unique birdlike whistle that he shared on the 19th hole. He might have used it on the course as well to distract his competitors, or maybe it was just some stellar play as Birdman pulled off his best round on tour so far defending against Costello (re-named Dogger) and recording the upsets against Spitz and Raker. Three birds and six points will be added to his stats. Well done!

	Can you see a pattern developing here? Three stars, three rookies. Flyer played in his 41st event today and defended his top 20 rank against ShelGame, The Enigma and Davestator. Third time's a charme as this was Flyers third attempt at taking 2 points from Davestator. One birdie and a tight ten foot doggie on the 11th hole are certainly enough to keep this Slammer flyin' high. Nice!
