Summary
At 11:20am on Saturday April 6th., 2013 rookie Ferg (now known as Bugsy) stepped up and drove a picture perfect ball down fairway #1 at Prescott GC. It was a long, snowy, long and snowy, snowy long winter and the numbers at today's first home event of the season showed how anticipated this day was. Twenty eight Slammers made their way down the 416 to Prescott (OK, Grumpy walked up the street) setting a new record of attendance for the first home event of the year. The sun was out which helped make the 5 degree temperature very comfortable and only a mild breeze was present to remind us to look up and appreciate the views of the St Lawrence seaway below. The anticipation of seeing that first drive leave our clubs was almost unbearable. Here we go! As Bubba Watson says, welcome to Two Thousand Trisitine!

McGoop
With McGoop's golfing background it's really hard to refer to this new Slammer as a "rookie" but for the remainder of this 2013 season he will have a little (r) next to his name. He made his official debut on Tour on the indoor screens and is already making his mark by taking first star honours today defending his rank against Burnsy, Danger and JMoney with three birds that held up for two skins. Congrats!
BugsyZ (r)
Chatter on the 19th hole and the threat of "Princess Fergie" as a new nickname made this rookie Slammer pick his own and will forever be known as Bugsy! Can't believe that one wasn't taken already! Bugsy makes his Slammer debut ranked 43 as he goes 3-0 with the upset wins over veteran Slammers Boomer, PointZero and BigTee. One of his two birdies held up for the skin....all this should be incentive enough to come back! Awesome!
Big Tee
BigTee is going to be a BigDaddy very soon and so he wasn't present as we finalized our day...dutifully scooting home after his round. So this is what was said about you as you took third star honours today! Playing his 44th event as he begins his second year on Tour, BigTee continued his strong play defending his rank against PointZero and Boomer adding four points to his stats. With one bird that held up for the skin and a tight doggie on the 15th, BigTee will be stocking the diaper shelves! Cha-ching and all the best to the BigTee family!
