 Notables - TC Senior Match: Lucky and Wally were like a couple of old boxers on their last legs, gasping for air while trading punches and looking for that one last moment of glory. Both lipped out their putts on 18 pushing the match into "overtime". Wally was able to suck in a little more oxygen then Lucky and wins the Senior match on the 1st playoff hole.

Culligan Doggie Report: six potential doggies but only three claimed, thanks to a few three putts. Wally has the mojo on hole #3 (15ft) & #11 (10ft) while Philll is the thrill on hole #8 (15ft). Each doggie was worth $6.00 with $2.00 for the kids

Summary
It turned out to be a mighty fine day at Manderley. No rain and the course is in pretty decent shape. The greens were great with only the occasional bare spot to contend with. The key to success though was staying out of the rough. With all the rain it has grown rather long and snarly. The foursome pretty much owned the course today with only a few rare sightings of other golfers as we pushed our way around in just over four hours.

The old war horse still has lots of fight in him yet. He has a pretty decent outing with two wins and one match halved. He then turns the tie into a win by delivering a knock out blow to Lucky in their Senior TC match on the first playoff hole. He also takes home a couple of doggies on his way to claiming first star on the day. |

While he lost out on the 19th hole in his TC outing, he wasn't necessarily "unLucky" on the day. Lucky caught a few timely breaks during the round and posts two wins and a draw along with a birdie as he calls his own number for second star billing. |
