Summary
A beautiful sunny day with blue skies set the scene for a Slammer event at FalconRidge. Eight Slammers, including 2 Newbies totalling 5 Slammer Rookies, came out to enjoy some Slammer match play golf. The back nine played more difficult today as casual water was more prominent there than on the front. And this was reflected in the scores on the back nine. This, of course, makes for some interesting match play results. Feature Match of the Day was the parent child match reported in the notables section. Great day my fellow Slammers but any day playing golf on the Tour is a great day.

Challenging all comers, Pickle, a Mini Junior Slammer goes undefeated. He has a great round as he co-anchors his Parent Child team against Gator and Ali G. He also takes home a doggie to boot. Pickle jumps from 658 to rank 51. Against the entire Slammer field today, he would have won all his matches except 2. Not bad for a 13 year old Slammer playing FalconRidge for the 1st time. Congratulations! |

It was a toss up for 1st and 2nd star honours today between father and son but McGoop takes home 2nd star honours. He goes undefeated and highlights the event with 7 skins and a doggie. Grrrrreat!! |

Third star goes to Flyer. He had a great round going in the front 9 leading all his opponents showing us how to do it. The turn at FalconRidge (know as Amen corner or Score Wrecking corner) took its toll on his 4some. Flyer manages to go 1-1-1. He scores a birdie and wins a skin, his first on tour. Excellent!! |
