POP was just fine but the event lasted a total of 6 1/2 hours from start to finish with the 75 minute delay in play - Thank you for your patience Slammers!
TC LADIES "A" UPDATE: chill vs ToothFairy with chill taking the 2013 Title - Congrats!
DOGGIES - They say that lightening doesn't strike twice...but apparently Doggie ties can happen twice in an event! Both ties were tripple measured and it was confirmed that both doggie balls, in both circumstances, were equal distance from the pins - Hole #4: Turtle/Snake tie, Hole #8: chill /Snake tie, Hole #11: Banzai, Hole #14: Spud ( Nice doggie ball marker!), and Hole #16: Duke
SKINS: A total of four skins with one each to Crenshaw (bird #2), Stevie Ray (bird #7), chill (bird #10) and PizzaMan (bird #14) @ 23 bones each
Thank you to our Doggie master BogeyMan and Skins master Grumpy who both played in the same group together today - Great job sorting things out given the special circumstances!

Summary
Twenty four Slammers united at Predator today to take advantage of every moment of this last long weekend of Summer and there was clearly one superstar at the course today....an electromagnetic superstar that is! Yes, the storm that hit the area on Monday afternoon came as the Slammers started the back nine and the groups were on the 12th through 14th holes as the horn sounded to return to the clubhouse for cover. Snake, PizzaMan, Spud, Popeye and Turtle didn't make it in and took cover at the hutt near the 16th hole....the same hole where visible ground strikes were photographed after the storm passed. You can see this phenomenal photo taken by Snake on the ST Facebook page. In the end, twenty two Slammers went back out on the course to finish off the day with just enough daylight for the sixth group to putt out on the 18th hole. We are a hearty bunch us Slammers, thank you to all for making it a memorable one!

	The lyrics "As I walk through this world, nothing can stop the Duke of Earl" rang true today! Duke was striking 'em and not even an X-Man, nor a PokerFace or even a Birdman could take this Slammer down. Going 3-0 for the six points, Duke fired off a superb round and locked in a doggie along the way. Well done!
	Snake
	Speaking with Snake after the round, you knew this was a special day on the course for this slithery Slammer. "A Priest in Caddyshack kinda day", playing his best ever, then the lightning storm comes and tries to take his mojo away. And the voice of Bill Murray rang in his ears saying: "I think it's going to pass", "It's just a few rain clouds, I say we keep going". With a birdie and two half doggies...(totalling a full doggie!) top off this Ssssslammer's sssssuper round. Noicccccccce!

	Another star studded day for this cool Slammer who was HOT today! chill was cool as a cuccumber as she approached the first tee to determine who would claim the Ladies Open TC title and from all accounts in the clubhouse during the storm delay, it was quote "A true championship match" that our two Slammettes were engaged in. chill went back on the course to the 14th tee one up on ToothFairy and then clinched the title on the 16th. Two birds, a skin and a shared 1/2 doggie were the icing on the cake. Congrats!
