  • This is my first opportunity to mention this. Last week, Iron Maiden surpassed Chilly to move into 3rd place all time in career events. Look out Stevie Ray and Ticklar, you’re next!
  • The 19th hole was a makeshift one outdoors. There, we were thankful to Iron Maiden for doing the Dynamic Physio and Chiro Skins Report, and another thank you to BogeyMan, who in only his second event this season, handled the Culligan Water Doggie Report. All of a sudden, Kookie walked in and there was much clapping, as everybody remembered her delivering Popsicles at the 9th tee. The 1st star prize was unanimously given to Kookie.
  • Still on the 19th hole, there was much discussion about Margin of Hazard. When the ball enters a hazard or is lost, is the line the overhanging tree?
  • Slammer gear: BogeyMan was awarded his No. 1 ‘D’ hat. BigGuy received his shirt and cap for his hole in one back on June 11th.

Summary
2014 is a rough year for Grumpy with migraines. About two hours before tee time, one begins “oh good, IM and PM are playing today”. I contact them and ask them to take care if I am a no show or have to bail. They agree. Everybody arrives, the course is full, as to be expected on such a balmy summer day. Therefore, a slow round with absolutely nothing to be done by the Slammers.

ToothFairy’s record today of three wins started off when she upset SteelCrazy (#60) 6 and 5. Next on her list was Newfie who went down 4 and 3. Her final victim was chill. That upset moved ToothFairy into #14. Along the way, ToothFairy collected a dog on hole #17. Now she stands a good chance of not having to be a Captain’s pick for Team Quebec.
SlapShot
SlapShot finally got turned around at the border and came to play. He shook hands with Bubba after the 13th hole, two holes later he upset PizzaMan, and again two holes later upset the Maiden. SlapShot came into today’s event as 92 and will move up 69 steps for the PizzaMan upset
RoadWarrior
RoadWarrior goes undefeated today, tying T-Bird. This earns him his first point against the Bird. Two holes earlier, he upset Spud. Not only did that win earn him a berth in the 3rd round of the TC, but it also vaulted him into 7th place in the top 10.
