Summary
A Friday afternoon playing Slammer match play golf on one of the nicest courses in the east-end Ottawa region. Who could ask for anything more as we realize there are not many more August Fridays left where you can enjoy Slammin. The weather man cooperated as there were only a couple of holes of drizzle. The course was in excellent condition - a bit wet but super tricky greens. The kids love it when the greens are fast and tricky. As we all know our three putt money goes to such a worthy cause. The course should be in outstanding condition for the Sun Scramble final. Some Slammer showed us that they are definitely ready for Ottawa's largest Scramble golf tournament. Thanks my fellow Slammers for this day on the links and good luck to all Slammers in the Sun Scramble!!

Clang, Clang, Clang” went the trolley, “Ding, Ding, Ding” went the bell as Clang takes home 1st star honours as he shoots lights out and has a great match play Slammer day. He goes undefeated taking out Ozzie, Lucky and Number 7. He registers 3 birds, takes home 2 doggies and 2 skins and has a trifecta. Congratulations on that Clang of a day. Sweet!! |

The second star goes to Lefty, a once familiar face on the tour, who had a brief time out. A long ball hitter he takes out the Game, Old Spice and DJD. He jumps from rank 34 up to #4. He has a birdie and takes home a skin. Excellent! |

Flyer takes home the 3rd star nod. He successfully defends against Dutch (on the 13th) and registers an upset against Skeeter (on the 13th) and Intruder (on the 15t)h. Flyer jumps some dozen or so spots with his solid match play performance. Outstanding! |
