Lulu jumped a creek with the grace of a gazelle -- a near-sighted one. She dropped and rolled, but forgot to tuck! Lawsuit on the way, Commish...

Summary
The inaugural visit to Summerheights (South course) had 16 eager Slammers making the car trek to Cornwall. The drive was easy and the weather was spectacular. Two rounds of golf for many, carts and lunch on the Commish for the 36-ers. Sunday doesn't get much better. ODE TO SUMMERHEIGHTS There once was a club called Slammer; They dressed for the sport with glamour; Spent Father's Day in Cornwall; Chasing a little white ball; Popeye hits his drives like a hammer!

	Popeye
	Spinach for breakfast, lunch and dinner pays off for Big Poppie! He goes 3-0 with a dog and two skins and shoots a smooth, er, wait a minute ... this is a match play league and we don't talk about scores! But if we did, we would mention he was 3 strokes under his SA. Well done.
	Flagondry
	Flagondry is a hat madder (you see what I did there :) who smoothed out 2 W's and only bowed to the first star. He also bagged two birds and picked at one skin. Congrats!
	Gru
	Gru is half a Gru-mpy by nickname and today shines as Star # 3. He was 3-0 and jumps about 60 spots on the ladder by eclipsing much of the Muise family. Cruel but amusing (tee-hee) punishment!

Best aspects of course: We really like the course layout. Beautiful trees and routing. Incredible friendly staff were welcoming and seemed quite interested in this international phenomena known as "Slammer Nation." And they make a mean steak sandwich too. Unfortunately the heavy rains made for a damp course. We expect that when the course dries out and greens fully recover, it will be a great track. Those are reasons why we should come back!
