Summary
A spectacular cool yet sunny day for the Slammers to officially kick off the season at the 2015 ClubEG Opener at Metcalfe. A total of 144 ClubEG members and guests gathered for an early afternoon shotgun start including 14 full groups of Slammers. The Real Malone and Malone in Law greeted all participants with event info and welcome gifts and the "Guy in the Kilt" putting contest took place on the lower putting green as participants gathered around the BBQ for a pre-game lunch green side. Gadget, our official photo master, was clicking away capturing moments in time and a drone took to the sky overhead to capture some unique views of our group below. Looking forward to seeing how those turn out! A roast beast buffet with all the fixings and delicious deserts followed as Malone and Shortstack took to the floor to hand out prizing for participation and contests. The 2015 Slammer season has been on the go for a while now but today's event really made it feel like summer was here, and here to stay.

Ripzone
Ripzone is playing in his 15th season on the Slammer Tour and had a ultra fantastic day made in match play heaven...he was with his honey Kaki, won all his matches, had one bird that held up for the skin, stuck a doggie tighter than any other Slammer on the first par three of the day...and claims first star honors for the first time since Sep 6, 2011! Congrats !
Grenner (r)
Grenner was playing in his first ever event on Tour and will start off his Slammer career with two wins under his belt and two birds for a 2.0 birdie average. Those two birds were golden as they both hold up for the skins padding this new Slammer's pockets. Fairly certain we will be seeing more of this rookie on Tour this season. Well done!
Cruze (r)
Cruze was cruisin' and put a bruisin' on his three playing partners taking down Mulder and fellow rookies Trickle Tickle and Denboutch. One cutoff birdie on the 12th and a 12ft doggie on the 17th will send this new Slammer home smillin' and hopefully he will cruise on back for a visit sooner than later. Nice !
