Summary
A beautiful summer day for golfing on the Champions League/Slammer Tour and teeing off at 9:30 so as to avoid the late afternoon heat. Players have been grouped according to their scoring averages. The course is in excellent condition with quick, true and receptive greens and they continue to run the sprinklers on the fairways during the day. The grounds crew were working on the back 9 using solid tines to aerate the greens causing very minimal distortions in the putting surface. We played one temporary green which we were not told of in advance (see the rules reminder). Lots of continuous improvements and maintenance of the course adding to the golfability and enjoyment of Champlain. It was a pleasure playing with fellow Champions/Slammers...the over 50 crowd..on Champlain Mondays. Your OC...KC.
