Summary
After a solid week of extreme heat in Ottawa it was a little different to see players wearing long sleeves and pants today to start the day but it was a very pleasant mid August day at eQuinelle with an overcast sky for the most part and only a few rain drop teasers that didn't really worry us much. Lots of great events on the schedule this week. IronMaiden is declaring this week "Bring a friend to the course" week on the Slammer Tour. I challenge everyone to invite someone you think would enjoy the match play format to play in their first event on Tour. Reminder that the first event for any new Slammer is FREE ! Chef is just plain solid and defends his #2 lofty rank against all that challenged...Irons gave him a serious run matching Chef hole for hole on the front nine, going square and then two up as they started the back nine....but Chef pushed back circling four birds on his match play card on the back nine to win the match 3&2. It was a super fun match to watch and both players put on a putting clinic with each sinking some huge bombs. Chef also defends against IronMaiden and Intruder, records five birds in total and two hold up for the skins. Awesome partner ! |

T-bird continues his solid play as he goes 3-0 for six points defending against Mulder and pushing through to the end to hold on to the defence win against Old Spice and now sits in the top 10 with the upset win over FingZ. T-bird records the bird on the 18th to take both those matches. Well done!; |
