Summary
EQUINELLE...Exquisite, Quaint, Unique, Ideal, Natural, Excellent, Lovely, Lively, Exceptional, to name just a few words that describe this great lay of land. Today, not less than "7" groups of lucky Slammers made their way down the 416 to Kemptville to take on this 'beauty'. 19 Slammers were pre-registered for this event because of Tour Championship matches, leaving only 9 additional spots available, which meant careful planning on sign-up night. The hot weather and amazing conditions made for a super afternoon. The modified shot-gun start allowed for Slammers to stay and socialize in the cool, air- conditioned 19th hole (which we filled), and share some post match follies. Congratulations to Falcon Ridge for being the first "Guest" team to hold the Commish Cup, and to all the TC Match winners today.

Popeye
With 6 people scoring perfect records today, it was highly unlikely that our first star would not have a flawless record. However, Sebastien Campeau, Popeye, must have eaten his spinache today, because he took down some formidable opponents in Smitty and Ripzone, then used a couple of extra holes to prevail in his TC "B" Match vs Happy. Popeye birdied the first par 5 for the skin and dropped one close on #8 for the doggie. Toot toot!
IronMaiden
Coming off a First-Star performance in the morning, Lisa Muise kept her fine form this afternoon. IronMaiden blazed the trail with a birdie-skin on the first hole and never looked back. Her defense wins over PizzaMan, Juan, and BearCat increase her lead in the BudLight Points Race to 36 points over StevieRay, her nearest competitor, with a whopping 173. Can anyone catch her? Awesome!
KaDaver
David McBain was our third star today. Why? Because, he won all his matches, (springlakes, Steamer, TJ), he got 2 birdies, and on the last par 3 of the day took home the doggie. No 'lucky' shots needed for this dead guy today. I guess the heat remedied his rigor-mortis.
