Summary
What a terrific day to play some match play golf...oh wait, everyday is a terrific day when you're Slamming. And, guess what everybody? That's right.....another forecasted rainy Tuesday with absolutely no rain! Not a single drop fell on the Slammers as an almost full field with 4 groups played our very own City of Ottawa course which hosted the Sun Scramble "D" division just yesterday. The course was actually quite lush with thick green roughs and it was evident that some serious rains had fallen overnight. It's Ottawa Sun Scramble week in the city and the "C" division headed up the valley and inducted Dragonfly into the Sun Scramble family of courses. The Sun Scramble Tweets coming in as the groups progress through their rounds are an excellent way to keep up to date with the week's activities and to see how our fellow Slammers are making out in the field. Good luck to all and hope to see some of you on Championship Saturday or Sunday!

It was all the talk on the 19th hole....DeeJay was a force to be reckoned with today and all business as he defends his rank against Toro and Wally and succesfully nabs #4 from MeekaGolf. And it was no easy feat as all but one match within this foursome goes to the 18th. With 1 bird and some fantastic steady play, DeeJay is in the top 5 of the Slammer ranks and will advance to the next round of the Tour Championships in the Senior division. Congrats! |

IronMaiden was away in Nova Scotia for 2 weeks but didn't build up any rust from all that sea air. Defending against The Enigma and Buiscuit O'Shumka, IronMaiden successfully retrieves the rank she had previously given up to PizzaMan and adds 6 points to her stats. One birdie and a doggie top off her day nicely. |
