Summary
The warmth of the Greyhawk Clubhouse, 21 birdies, some epic matches, personal bests, shared skins and dogs, the long weekend......There are just too many positives to mention. And anyone reviewing the stats could not guess that hard steady rains accompanied the Slammers through more than half of the round today. We're a hard core group of golfers and when someone asks you at work tomorrow......"you GOLFED in that ?" Just reply....."yes, of course I did....I'm a Slammer!"

Our first star SilverBack was slick in the rain going 3-0 in a group of Slammers that had never played eachother and had a clean slate to start the day. With an upset win over Figmo and defending against Shades & Pizzaman, he grabs a bird that translates into a skin and tops it off with a Doggie. SilverBack also achieves that elusive goal of many players: breaking 80 for the 1st time! Congrats on a super 77 which is 12 strokes below his average! |

XTour also has a great day out there going 3-0 for 6 points. Defending against Bookie and with upset wins over Fuzzy and Hacker, Xtour moves up 30+ spots and into the top 20 of the Slammer ranks. Shooting 11 strokes below his average, XTour records 1 bird and takes home 2 doggies. Nice!

PointZero lists his strength as "being persistent" and that he was today. With 4 birds, PZ defends against Boomer and storms the top 10 with an upset win over Cuba. He adds to this a dog and a skin. But it was his match with KaDaver that earns him this 3rd star ... and "breaks the 3rd star tie" mentioned during the event summary at Predator today. Going into today's event PZ was 1-6-0 with Kadaver and now adds a tie to this record. Well done! |
