Notables

Charlie the Taiwanese Banker, named Chih Fong Chuang, is a real joy to play with. His Slammer nickname could just as easy of been "Thank You!". He is going after the rookie record of most events played.
Honourable Mention going out to pointZero. During the introductions, it was pointed out that he was in a round with three guys whose averages were all below 80. Well he only lost to today's #1 star. He halved ParBreaker and upset Malone to move into the TOP TEN.
There were no quotables in the first group, because they were too busy laughing.
I was going to write a story for the archives and it was going to be called "Confessions of a 25+ handicapper." Let me explain a type of thing that would be included. It happened on the very first hole. I hit my opening drive while still introducing myself and saying "don't talk in my backswing". The ball goes up and straight and is the right club. I turn and talk to the eight Slammers as I introduce Kid's Club. More to follow...

Summary
Bookie's weekly review, yesterday spoke about the high amount of rookies that are playing this season. Today is no different. 40% (8/20) of today's field are rookies, and one playing in his first ever. We have seven of the top twenty, out today. Metcalfe is a full house this Wednesday. Their ladies are having a big day including a couple of other new Slammer rookies yet to be out, hello Mulla & Patio! Also sharing the course with us is a Carleton University shotgun. The fairways are awesome, and we hope that there is fairness in the courts as well tomorrow.

	Today there were five groups. There were also five Slammers that went 3-0. Four of them started the day as the highest ranked in the foursome. Woodsy was at the other end of his foursome, meaning that his 3-0 included three upsets. Today's perfect 3 brought his career totals to 12-0-1 {albeit there is an asterisk that I will get fixed}. DeeJay's draw back in October looks better each subsequent event ... editor is thinking that Woodsy couldn't win them all that day, because he was watching and was in awe of how the game shouldn't be played. This is Woodsy's fourth straight match as a star. THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT!
	Burnsy
	Burnsy also went 3-0, and both of his birdies were good for skins. After a slow start, by his measure, this is Burnsy's second straight blemish free round bringing his record over the last five events to 12-1-2. His only Slammer loss coming on Canadian soil this season is from Hacker. THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT!

	THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT! Playing in his inaugural event, this is not one of the kids. Roscoe's two birdies {both on chip-ins} bring him into the lead {with ParBreaker who hasn't had one in two rounds - 37 holes} for birdie average with a 2. When Roscoe upset his hockey teammate Sutty on the 18th hole, he gets to start his career at #82.
