Summary
Today we lost Seve Ballesteros, a passionate, inspired, magical matador of a golfer who played in a scrambling way all Slammers can identify with. Five Slammer foursomes, including a player in his first event, another in his 10th year, and yet another trying to defend the #1 position played this gem called Equinelle in mid summer conditions. Many of our tour members played like Seve as if imbued with his masterful spirit. As we later wrapped up our event presentations on the quaint outdoor patio, and as the last car left the parking lot, only then did the skies open with a brief refreshing downpour. It was a day of old friends, new friends, lost friends and a perfect day of golf.

In his 4th round of the year he shot his scoring average of 76, went 2-0-1, fending off a strong challenge from TeeDub and took out Ticklar to claim #1. He also had a skin and word has it he was burning edges as putts would not drop. Good luck defending Chef, as remarkably no one has done it yet this year. Slammerdom will be watching. |

Last years Preston Cup winner has begun 2011 in top form as he goes 3-0 shooting 4 below average with 2 birdies and winning a skin. He did all of this playing in a stylish black sauna suit, apropos as he is last years winner of Best Dressed Golfer. |
