Summary
Today was a special day for me as it was my 70th birthday -- and it was made even better as I was treated with a beautiful cake and a great card. Thanks to all who were there and....to Iron Maiden who helped plan the surprise.;
But to the event...they said the course was dry and in fact it was very dry! Really amazing what with the late start to the season as well as some recent rain that we've had. There were only a few spots of dampness but otherwise it was a dry as in summer -- not green yet...but hey you can't have everything! Thanks to the staff for getting the course ready. And thanks to our pleasant and cheerful waitress at the 19th hole.

The OC in all humility attempted to relegate himself to the third star; but there was a coup d'�tat led by that rabble-rousing Englishman, Pommie. The rest of the mob -- sorry, ladies and gentlemen -- were in unanimous agreement and so to avoid any bodily harm, the OC acceded to their wishes. Bookie did have two dogs and two out of the three skins and went 2-1 against some stiff competition. So perhaps the Bookster was deserving after all, especially on this ausipicious day in his personal history. Thanks all! |

Our third star was in a pretty competitive group and was able just to hang on to his ranking by eking out a 2-0-1 record, tying Chef. These two are so evenly matched, but Nolanator also scored dog. well done! |
