Summary
It started to drizzle when the last group teed off and it continued drizzling throughout 18. But we were playing a nice track that held up under these conditions. As Slammers we learn to golf under all conditions. Three SLammers registered scores below their scoring average (Deeker, DRak and Macdahustla) while the rest of the field shot above their Slammer median. One could say the rest of the field resembled the Raptors playoff-run scores with lots of scores in the 90s and hundreds or was it a Wayne Gretzky day with an scoring average matching his jersy number. But hey, this is match play golf so stroke play scores do not matter. And if you are in groups where Slammer class differences is one or two, you are very competitive cause this is match play Slammer golf. And wow, the 19th hole served as a refuge with Slammer warmth, Slammer banter, food and libations. Overall a very manageable day. And the rest of the week looks warm/hot and dry so get out to swing those clubs. Your OC, KC

Deeker, the 1st star, came in ranked 7th overall and 4th in the A division and he successfully defends against all comers. In this 1st group are 3 players with the same scoring median and one Slammer with a slightly higher average. And Deeker takes all (DRak, Dannat and Schteme) out on or before the 17th. He takes home a dog, a skin and registers the low score of the day. Well done, our 1st star!! |

The 2nd star, Macdahustla, a rookie, is lighting up the Slammer Tour lights. He successfully goes 2-0-0 and has a dog, a skin and a bird. This is his 3rd event of his rookie season and he has a dog in each event and his stroke play score keeps going down. 1st event was a C class score, 2nd was a B class score with today's event as an A class score. Great performance!! |
