Whitetail LoGo

Notables

  • ST MPC (for you oldtimers – this used to be called TC) match. Today 12th seed The Game played 21 seed GovNer4. They ended in a draw. They agreed to have a replay (“36 holes are enough” & "neither of us could handle any more punishment today"). #5 FingZ and #28 Stevie Ray will have to wait and see. Now go see what Steel Crazy had to say (last quotable).
  • IRELAND – Knacker is here! P-Diddy started his ST career in Ireland and the first introduction of the day had a discussion about Hurling. Then the foursome proceeded to their three tee boxes and all four hit the pancake (Whitetail is one of those rare courses that starts off with a par three). First was Knacker, then some guy named McGoop did so. Move to the whites and P-Diddy responds. Then yellow tees for the Doggie Queen – a little pressure, the boyZ are all on the green. Change club and “NO PROBLEM”
  • NOTABLE ONE – Congratulations to GovNer4 for graduating to the B division.
  • NOTABLE TWO – why did it take Shooter 5 years in between his first and second events? Today he plays #28 – he gets it now!
  • MILESTONES – I have nothing to report. Many were accomplished today – but they all chose to do them in the first event. Thank you winners and thank you Mulder for reporting them.
  • NOTABLE THREE - SKINS - did Pommie have a premonition? He seldom enters skins but does so AND WINS one (see Stymie this morning).
  • NOTABLE FOUR – NoBell prize - goes out to all groups that didn't hit the bell when crossing the water on hole 14.
  • Have you ever seen a report that Mulder was in and he wasn’t the OC? He is always thanked! Today (THANX!) he did the Broker4Tickets skins report AGAIN.
  • QUICKSNAP doggie report - (presented by Pommie, DOUBLE HEADER duties - FANTASTIC job!). Read my OC partner's previous report. He was right (Yes Vikki!), he predicted the doggie winner for hole 17.
  • Knacker showed up and doesn't like the pin placement.
  • About filling out the sheet on the nineteenth hole - look over there on the right. See what we rated the course? Although it is a well loved course - I am certain that it didn't rate a nine today. But you chose it - so do your voting at the end of your round.
  • “NICE PINS!” (editor’s note – that may have contained a little sarcasm – well Diesel even apologized to BOTH OCs).

Quotables

  • "Where's Boomer?"
  • "Knacker, how are you going to win?" "By putting the ball in the hole!"
  • “Be warned – Pommie lists Whitetail as one of his favourite courses!”
  • “Juice has the most futile record in all of Slammer land – know what record that is?”
  • “This Super Senior is the oldest Slammer in the field today!
  • “NICE PINS!” (editor’s note – that may have contained a little sarcasm – well Diesel even apologized to BOTH OCs)
  • "I'm sleepy!"
  • "I USED to love this place!"
  • "I would have beaten him anyways!"
  • “It looked like they both tried to lose the MPC.”

Summary
Thee first double header of the season. Hey Slammers for those of you that are only weekend players - did you know that we have FIVE this month? Now let's all discuss the pin placements for today ... poor Knacker has only played ten events and has experienced two of the hardest pin placement days in the Tour's history. If you don't believe me then go read the earlier report today.

Stars
Steel Crazy
Was threatened in the parking lot, that the system shows a tie. Maybe there will be an audit! RELAX - just kidding - the tiebreaker is how many criteria he earned starpoints for - GO STEELERS! By the way he isn't the star just because he had to witness two Match Play Championshippers trying to lose.
Grumpy
what? Well double header day and Grumpster goes 5-0, that's right collects five of those blue pieces of paper. Being vocal about not liking the photos of such collections, and remembering that the first two today don't matter for this star, so how about the fact that all of the undefeated Slammers this afternoon did so against more people that they had a winning record against EXCEPT Grumpy.
Green Arrow
was told that at the event that he was chosen as star. That the OC may change it due to the fact his 3-0 record included a default. BUT read the second last quote and see why he won the star choice.
