 Notables - MATCH PLAY Championship (formerly TC) updates. Three matches today. T-Bird entered the B flight seeded #1 and was up against 32 seed Raubs (welcome back - come again). T-Bird won 4and2, and will move on to face the winner of the Gongshow / Chadderbox match.
- MPC second match was also in the B Division. #9 seed Ripzone took down #24 Chip me in. Their match was a little closer as they shook hands after the sixteenth hole. Ripper now awaits the winner of the Intruder / Johnny Drama match.
- MPC third match today involved those same two Slammers just mentioned. They added a couple of Slammettes. That's right the first mixed match of the season happened today. Kaki & Ripzone (3 seed) were hosting the six seed. Ripper and Kaki (won 6and5) will play next round against the winner of the match between Taz & Pukey J vs Chicklets & Eastcoaster.

Summary
A few of today's field announced that this was their first visit to the Creek. A few more said it was their first time here since it became a Club Link course. Of course the four CL members were revisiting and we are glad that they joined us. The final round of the Ottawa Citizen championship was ahead of us and we saw many Slammer friends playing or working the event. What's with the carp lining the shore on hole two? (I know that we are not supposed to be there but I was only helping others look for their ball). The view shocked me so much that I lost a ball that had been used for the last 20 holes. SURE!

On the day that he passes IronMaiden, for second place with events played (SRR's 78 events lead is safe), the Grumpster goes 3-0 shaking hands after holes 13-14-15. This D player gets few birds - and his sandy on hole 13 wasn't even needed for that skin. A par would have been enough. That's right McGoop, a par would have been enough! Grumpy is the only Slammer in the field today to shoot a division score below his own division line. |

Mulder went 2-1 and those four points were enough to be third most in today's field. During introductions, it was mentioned that the field had 54 wins vs their opponents and Mulder had 74, but that he didn't have a winning record against either Bubba or Diddledude. He then went on to shake their hands on the 15th and 16th hole respectively. His dog on eleven wasn't only his MILESTONE 50th of his career, but gave him a rejoicing moment. He cut off O1 McGoop! |

MATCH PLAY Championship. A win is worth bonus points when choosing a star. Today Ripzone had two of them and earns him enough starpoints for the star. Irony is that he beat out Chip me in (dog, bird, skin) for the third star, by winning both matches and earned six points against him. He also narrowly beat McGoop (five birdies today) for third star. |
